How To Find The Best Denver Laser Eye Surgery
Nowadays, there are many Denver laser eye surgery clinics. Each one will claim to offer the most advanced equipment with the best doctors around. It will seem impossible …..

People trying to stay out of Beverly Hills or Los Angeles can opt to visit one of many Valencia laser eye surgery centers for potential laser procedures. A growing number of people each year are checking to see if Lasik eye surgery will help restore their vision and be able to ditch their contacts or glasses.

Most procedures performed in a Valencia laser eye surgery facility will restore a patient’ s vision to about 20/40 and in some cases it can be restored to 20/20. However, there are some circumstances in which laser eye surgery cannot be performed. Such as a person on medication which may cause excessive bleeding or a person on steroidal medications. Additionally, persons whose corrective lens prescriptions has changed more than once in the past year may not be a qualified candidate due to constantly changing cornea shape.

Refractive laser surgery conducted at a Valencia laser eye surgery center essentially reshapes the cornea by using laser technology. At the beginning of the procedure the doctor will cut a small flap on the cornea and fold it back exposing the cornea tissue. The laser will then remove a pre-determined amount of the tissue and then the flap is put back in place. Since it cannot be stitched in place, care will be needed to prevent damage to this flap.

After Surgery Procedures Protect Your Eye

You may feel mild discomfort or pain for the first two or three days and experience a tearing in the eye. During the first week, you may have a sensitivity to light as hazy or blurry vision and dry eyes and difficulty with driving at night may last for the first month. Once completed those having Valencia laser eye surgery should wear no eye makeup for the first two weeks and should not participate in non-contact sports for three days.

For the first four weeks after Valencia laser eye surgery there should be no contact sports of any kind and the patient will need to wear an eye shield to bed to protect the incision made on the cornea. The patient will be instructed to stay away from swimming, hot tubs and whirlpools for at least eight weeks. Fluctuations in vision may occur for up to six months, with the vision getting batter after the first week. However, for the first six months following Valencia laser eye surgery the patient should not attempt wearing contacts.
